With Hailo you will be required to call your passengers and send & receive data through the app. We recommend that you choose a phone plan that gives you a minimum of 200 minutes call time per month and at least 1GB data per month of data. With most mobile phone networks you can negotiate really cost effective deals for calls and data on a pay monthly contract.
Hailo works on iPhone and Android smartphones. Specifically, any Android phone that runs on version 2.2 or higher and iPhone models 4 or later. For iPhone make sure you are running iOS 4.3 or above. Hailo works best on the most up-to-date phone software, so please check you have the most recent versions installed for the best Hailo experience.
Because our app works with the GPS on your phone battery, usage is quite high. Therefore it is a requirement that your phone is plugged into your car charger at all times when Hailo is in use.
To sign up to Hailo, go to https://www.hailocab.com/dublin/drivers and fill out the short registration form. We’ll then send you a text with instructions on how to download our driver app.
To use Hailo you will need an email address. They are very easy to set up but if you need some help, ask a friend or family member, drop in to the Hailo Driver Office, or if you see us out on the ranks, grab us and we can sort one out there and then.
The first thing to do is check you have entered your details correctly (license details, email address and phone number). If you are still having trouble, send us a message with details of the problem using the contact us form and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
You are almost ready to start taking jobs from Hailo. It typically takes less than 24 hours for our Hailo Driver Team to verify your details. We’ll let you know by email and text when they are done and then you’ll be good to go.
We will send you a confirmation email and SMS as soon as you have submitted your online registration form. If you have not received an email or text from us check your Junk Mail and Trash folders as sometimes emails from unrecognised addresses are sent to these folders by mistake. If you still haven’t received any send us a message using the contact us form and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
When your details have been verified (you will receive a text and email from us when they are) you’ll be ready to go and can start accepting jobs straight away. But remember to tap Go On Duty on the app every time you start your shift.
If you are having trouble uploading your documents, make sure you are connected to wifi as 3G is sometimes problematic when uploading large files. If you are still having problems send us a message using the contact us form or drop into the Driver Office and we’ll upload the documents for you.
