Managing My Shift

  • How do I process a credit card for a non-Hailo job?

Taking a card payment for a non-Hailo job is simple. Here’s what to do: Tap Go POB when the passenger boards and enter the destination. At the destination, tap Take Payment and enter the fare. Tap Card and enter the passenger’s card details (number, expiry and CVV). Tap submit and you’re done. If the passenger requests an email or text receipt, add their email address or phone number in the space provided.

  • Do I get charged for street jobs if I tap POB in the app?

Of course not. We encourage you to tap Go POB on street jobs so you can get stats for all of your shift and get a better overall record of how your business is going. Plus it means you don’t have to manually write down your earnings anymore.

  • How do I let you know when I've got a non-Hailo job on board?

Simply tap Go POB when you have any passenger on board, even if the job wasn’t sent to you from Hailo. By going POB every time you have a Passenger on Board you will get accurate stats on how your shift is going. You can also let us know by setting Send Me Hailo Jobs to the ‘No' position on the app. But remember to switch it back to ‘Yes’, when you’re ready to accept them again.

  • How do I share traffic and events with other drivers?

Simple. Because the app knows your location there is no need to enter lots of details. To report an burst or traffic problem, tap the green ‘Report Events’ icon at the top right of the map. Choose the event you want to report and then add a few details. We will then send this information out so other Hailo drivers can see what is going on.

  • Where can I see current events/bursts?

On the app, tap Events and you will see your location on the map, plus any bursts or events around you. Expand the map to zoom out and see what’s going on in your wider area, and if you want to see bursts or traffic reports in a list, tap the buttons at the top of the page.
